  • When lighting your candle, ensure that you have enough time to allow the wax pool to melt all the way to the edges of the vessel. If this is not allowed to happen, your candle will become prone to tunneling on subsequent burns.

  • Candle wicks should be kept trimmed to around 6-8mm. Long wicks can be prone to excessively high flames, smoking and carbon build-up.

  • Extinguish the candle before trimming the wicks. Never attempt to trim a burning wick.

  • Ensure that the candle is free from wick debris after trimming.

  • Always burn your candle on a flat, level, heat resistant suface to ensure the wax melts evenly.

  • Always leave at leat 15cm between burning candles.

  • Discontinue use when around 1cm of wax remains in the vessel.

  • Do not burn candles in draughty areas. Draughts can cause accelerated burning, smoking and uneven burns.

  • Candles can be sensitive to bright sunlight and excessively high or low temperatures. Candles should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Storage temperatures should not exceed 27c or go below 0c.

  • Replace candle lids when not in use. This will help to preserve the fragrance.

  • Never leave burning candles unattended.

  • Always keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.

  • Never attempt to handle or move a lit candle.
